Lately on quick notes I've been seeing some Zoners post phone numbers. Then I found out that it's not a actual phone number but a conference number. Can someone tell me what that is and how to get one? Curious to know if it's better then VoIP (i.e Ventrilo) chatting or not.

The phone numbers are associated to free conference www.freeconference.com and its service that is scheduled standard reservationless services. The numbers used are for quick conferences without setting anything up. The reservationless service can be accessed 24 hours a day and you do not need to let the company know your actions at any time.
Web based conferences have two flavors. Free web based which means you go to free conference, give them your E-mail address etc. and they assign a phone number that you have. This number is used to call in to the conference, but the access code needs to be set up bvia web. They reserve a backup number for you if your number is booked for your conference. The premium 800 service you have to pay for, and can hold more than both of the other services combined. The reservationless service holds 30-32, web standard holds 100, and the premium 800 holds I believe 150, but that's going off memory. I hope this answers your question.

Well said. Yep in a nut shell that's what they are. Theyr'e a lot of fun, but then so is Net chatting, like on Ventrilo and Teamtalk and what not. I like them both. I had lots of fun teleconferencing this weekend. Caitlin
